Company: Nike

Location: Beaverton, OR

Industry: Athletic Footwear, Apparel

Introduction

In 2019, Nike launched "Make Sport A Daily Habit," an initiative aimed at inspiring individuals to prioritize physical activity and embrace a healthy lifestyle in their daily routines. This collaborative project between myself and Nike's internal teams involved the creation of various deliverables, including imagery, email content, gamified app design, and UX enhancements. Through this initiative, Nike sought to motivate people to integrate exercise into their daily lives and advocate for the benefits of an active lifestyle.

Partnerships and Initiatives

As part of the initiative, Nike partnered with renowned fitness brands and wellness platforms such as Orangetheory Fitness, Y7, the Headspace app, and Hyperice. These partnerships aimed to provide diverse fitness experiences and resources to individuals, further promoting the message of making sport a daily habit.

Scope of Work

The scope of our collaboration with Nike encompassed graphic design, cross-collaboration with internal Nike teams, development of email campaigns, and creation of internal webpages for classes offered at Nike Athletic Centers. The $130,000 budget was strategically allocated to these areas to enhance visibility and engagement with Nike's campus fitness facilities and health programs. Our goal was to enhance visibility and engagement with Nike's campus fitness facilities and health programs.

Budget Allocation

The $130,000 budget was meticulously planned to maximize impact:

  • Graphic Design and Content Creation: $40,000 was allocated for high-quality imagery, email content, and gamified app design to ensure engaging and visually appealing materials.

  • Email Campaigns and Internal Webpages: $30,000 was used to develop and implement email campaigns and internal webpages for promoting classes and fitness programs.

  • Partnership Initiatives: $10,000 was dedicated to collaborations with Orangetheory Fitness, Y7, Headspace, and Hyperice, enhancing the variety of fitness experiences offered.

  • UX Enhancements and Development: $25,000 was allocated for UX enhancements to ensure a seamless and user-friendly digital experience.

  • Event Expenses: $25,000 was allocated to cover event costs, including promotional materials, booths, DJ services, catering, and rental equipment.

Achievements

Through our collaborative efforts, we witnessed significant improvements in the utilization of campus facilities and health program signups. Specifically, there was a remarkable 43.7% increase in the use of campus facilities and health program signups. Additionally, there was a notable 24.8% increase in company emails related to the campus fitness centers, indicating heightened awareness and engagement among Nike employees.

Conclusion

Our partnership with Nike in promoting active lifestyles and utilizing the Nike Sports Centers underscores the importance of integrating physical activity into daily routines. By leveraging strategic collaborations and impactful design solutions, we have contributed to fostering a culture of wellness and vitality within the Nike community, ultimately empowering individuals to lead healthier, more active lives.
